Garden of the Sierra Madre is the home of vegan Dan Farnam and family, which has been a place of great collaboration and good food. The Farnam family were interested in learning about gardening and including more fresh vegetables into their diets. In 2017, Dan and Mike Wood teamed up to use his space to experiment with what veggies grew best there, all the while engaging in conversation about a plant-based lifestyle, eating for longevity, and what blue zones are about.

Currently, Mike and Mandy help to manage the Garden of the Sierra Madre and focus on growing watercress, water lentils, flowers, and mushrooms.
